Sid Meier's Gettysburg! is a rl-time strategy simulation recrting one of the most dramatic battles of the American Civil War. Sid Meier, crtor of some of the gaming world's most popular titles, including Pirates!, Civilization, Railroad Tycoon and Colonizaton, takes his approach to the battlefield in this epic war game.

Sid Meier's Gettysburg! is a mix of rl-time action with the rlism of a turn-based war game with 3D animated soldiers, cannon, cavalry and erals which move, change formation, fire, retrt and attack. The highly detailed simulation lets the player take charge of the battle while factors such as morale, formation, terrain and firepower are automatically handled by the computer. In addition to the historical battle, several "what if?" and custom-erated scenarios are included for armchair erals to fight over and over.
